Default Spring has Sprung

Finally.............spring is here and of coarse it's that time of year to get all the winter road grime off the truck.
Weather permitting and a little down time, I'll get to waxin and polishin every little nook and cranny I can possibly find on the dang truck but I needs to find a better way than all of this hand rubbin hard labor!

Does anybody have an easier way of doin this, or an easy on, easy off product which will still protect and shine as well as good ol' turtle wax but without all of the blood sweat and tears?

Nope it all comes down to the blood sweat and tears. When Bob gets done shining all the black is on him. He gets out there with his buffer and you better just stand back! I drove through some gunk in Chicago that they where putting on the interstates before the ice came and made a mess of his wheels! He is still moaning and groaning over it. Boy do I like it when winter is gone and no more de icing!

Wild Bill is that your truck? Boy that paint job is really something. Ours is white but Bob has slowly been adding chrome and shiny things. Keeps him busy and out of my way when I get to cleaning.

Default Darn old trucks!

Yep Lawrence! That's one of em! I got a few more of those darn old trucks with drivers in em!
We run 379-127 XD Classic Petes cause Paccar is the only Big Truck producer
who always give me everything I ask fer!

I can tell ya,that Paccar rolls out the red carpet for old Wildbill while other truck producers call security to escort me off their property like I was a common thief!!!!!

I guess it's because I try to git everything fer nothing, Hee! Hee! Hee!

Joking aside! the truth of the matter is that Paccar who produces Peterbilt
and Kenworth trucks has always treated us like royalty and Paccar Credit is easy to deal with because of their deep understanding of the average working mans dilema in regards to purchasing power, which in my case is almost zero!

I have been in some tough financial situations, without a plum nickle to my name and Paccar credit has never turned me down when I have wanted to buy a truck from them!

I never like to use our forum for commercial promotions but Paccar will always
help anyone out with a truck purchase especially me who never has a red cent to my name!

Another thing I like about a Peterbilt is that they never loose their value and they are easy to fix up and they always look classy with a new paint job and a little bit of chrome!

They ain't called a Cowboy's Cadillac for nothin!!!!!

Teamcaffee, I know what yer sayin about gittin all dirty buffin up the chrome on yer ride!

If I ain't mistakin, did'nt I see old Bob in a truck stop somewhere down in
Kansas out in the parkin lot rubbin the bumper and talkin softly to his little ol' white Pete just like it was the love of his life?

I'm sure I heard Bob tell his truck that it would always be his only true love!!

Now! don't git me wrong! there ain't nothin wrong in tellin yer truck how much you love it, but I was just wonderin if Bob was jealous, cause when I walked by that beautiful lookin truck of his, I told it I loved it too!!

Don't tell Bob! whatever ya do!

WildBill I wish I could figure out how to post a picture of our truck here! It is not a Pete but a Freightliner but he still take pretty darn good care of her. Yes you might have seen him whispering to her and sometimes I think I can see a tear in his eye after I have been through some salt in the Chicago area! It is a sad site to see. What is killing him right now is he has everything is place to polish the lift gate of all things. We saw a furniture mover up on I80 and he had his liftgate polished and it looked nice. Everytime he get everything else spic and span we get a load or it rains! I tell you what though another driver comes by and has a kind word to say about our truck and you can see Bobs chest puff out! When a shipper will say "Boy that is the best looking and shiniest truck we have seen in a long" There he goes again. Hard to get his head inside the truck!
Boy you do have a nice looking truck though!

Default Freightshaker forever

How is this for an old doll? Wildbill's Freightliner collection!
I love old Freightliners especially Cab-overs!
She is a 1988 COE FLT with an original 400 cummins coupled with a 10 speed transmission
and believe it or not,she runs from Panama City Florida for the US Military all the way to California
and back once a month!
She has 3 million original miles on the counter and still has her original engine,
never been rebuilt!
She uses a gallon of oil on each trip....which ain't too bad!
Still got the same clutch in her.............that's cause I never use the clutch,
I did'nt get that far in driver's scool! " Don't know how to use a clutch! " Hee!

I want to thank the good people at El Paso Texas Freightliner fer doin a fine job on her paint!
They did that many years ago and the darn paint is still like new!
Ain't she a beauty?
