Ford truck transmission information needed

I need information about a truck transmission I have been offered. The seller said it is a Ford five speed with the fifth gear being overdrive. He said the guy who gave it to him said it was from a '59 but the person who wants to sell it to me thinks it's from an older truck. He also mentioned it was a Clark transmission. Any one have an idea what this transmission is actually from and if it would fit behind the flat eight in my F-4? I am thinking the OD would be nice to have so I could do a little highway driving. Any thoughts about that?
