Default CB Language what does it mean?

Here are a few CB terms as some of you may be just begining your career's as trucker's and have never owned a CB before.

1. Junk Yard..........Home Terminal
2. Running thru the woods.............Running on a 2 lane not on the interstate.
3. Creeper Cop...........This refer's to the DOT at the scale or in his car doing DOT check's.
4. Chicken Coop.........This is a state scale
5. "My bird dog is barking"..........My radar detector is picking something up.
6. Front Door...........Is the lead truck
7. Back Door...........Is the truck bringing up the rear.
8. Evil Keneivel.........Motor Cycle Cop
9. Meat Wagon........Ambulance
10. Kiddy Car......... School Bus
11. Bear Meat......... speeding car
12. "Don't feed the bear's"........Be careful about your speed.
13. Bear Tracks.........usually you will see where alot of car track's cross the median.....good sign you are in a speed trap.
14. Gator.........Blown Tire
15. Pickle Park.........Rest Area
16. "checking tire pressure".......Scales are rolling you across weighing you.
17. Lot Lizard.........is a prostitute working
18. Taking pictures.........is a cop shooting radar
19. "Gonna shoot you in the gas hole".......means there is a cop ahead hiding and he will shoot radar after you pass him/her.
20. Hiding in the woods or hiding in the grass......means a cop is backed in somewhere where it is hard for you to see them.
21. Sitting in the dark......is a cop sitting with his light's off.
22. Chicken Truck........is a very fast truck
23. Chicken Lights......are extra light's that you add to your truck.
24. Keep the shiny side up.........is be careful don't have a wreck.
25. BJ on 21 etc..........this is a queer it does not have to be channel 21 either just some sicko on the radio.
26. Hammer Lane......is the left lane
27. Granny Lane.......is the right lane or slow lane.
28. Skate Board........is a Flat bed Tractor/Trailor
29. Coal Bucket or Rock Bucket........is a Tractor/Trailor pulling a Dump wagon.
30. Covered Wagon.....is a Flat Bed with a side kit on his trailor
31. Salt Shaker.........is a snow plow putting salt on the road
32. Parking Lot.........is a car hauler it used to be Portable Parking Lot
33. Tanker Yanker........is a truck pulling a Tank Wagon
34. Thermos Bottle.......is a tanker
35. Bull Rack.........A truck Hauling cattle
36. Stick Wagon......is a truck hauling logs
37. 4 Wheeler........is a car or pick-up
38. "There is a 4 wheeler or there is a big truck sitting off in the woods"......there is a car or a big truck that ran off the road.


These are just a few so come on add what you know!

Also "checking ground pressure" or "measuring the tension on your suspension"

"Chicken truck" or "rooster cruiser" is a very fast reefer truck, (haul a lot of chicken) usually a customized "large car" (big hood Pete 379 or KW w-900)


"Diesel bears".......... DOT motor carrier enforcment div. of state police.

"Full grown bear"...... state trooper.

"City kiddy" or "local bear"........ city police

"county mounty" County sherrif's dept.

Speaking of large cars.... I've never seen the interior of one. If anyone has photos, I'd love to see them. Max

Lawn mower or a weed wacker is a state tractor mowing along the the road.

Diesel Dummy........I have heard this expression for years and have not figured it out yet.

Truckin up...........is driving pretty fast in the left lane.

mashin the gas and toatin the a$$.........well it kinda explains itself.

A set of wiggle wagons.........is double or triple trailors

A Michigan Train.........is a truck in Michigan that has a whole bunch of axels under it. RE: the gross weight in Michigan is more than everywhere else if the truck has enough axels under it.
