Default The Tax Man cometh

Like my Daddy once said,...................« Son,there are two things in life that are certain and that is taxes and death! »

Now don't get me wrong folks but I try to stay away from both if ya know what I mean, but like every good honest hard workin stiff, I pay my fair share
of taxes, but between me, you and the fence post, every once and awhile, I'll
fix the neighbors lawn mower or put some new shingles on my no good fer nothin moon shine makin brother-in-laws house fer some cash, under the table!

Yes sireee! you heard it straight from Wildbill.........under the table cash,
nothin fer the taxman! Hee! Hee! Hee!

I'm countin on y'all not to be turnin me in for the reward money now!

Yep! it sure feels good to make a few dollars and not have to share it with the government!

Do you think that it makes ol' Wildbill a sort of an Outlaw,or do some of you do the same thing?

I think it kind of evens out at the end of the year anyhow with all the dang
log book violations I pay the dam DOT and we all know that log book fines are really State taxes in disguise, don't we?

Here's an example of a disguised tax!

The other day going through the Virginia Chickin coops,I got pulled back fer over weight on a trailer axel.
The DOT Man told me to get it straighten out or he would fine me for an over weight violation which seemed fair, right?

I got right out there and unlocked my trailer axels and backed up to a cement border which is about
10 inches off the ground at the back of the scale house and commenced to
pushin my wheels up against the cement to release my axels to git them to move up a couple of inches which they did!

Proud as a peacock,I walked back into the scale house to come face to face with this big, bad, nasty, snarling Virginia State Police Officer who just about beat me up side the head fer using the ciment border to push my sticky axels.

I guess he never heard of SEMPER FI! Hee! Hee! Hee!

Well,to make a long story short, the unlawful or unauthorised use of the governments cement border cost me $ 100. plus interest and administration fees for a grand total of
$ 135.00

Now if that ain't a disguised Tax, I'll be tarred and feathered!!

Teach me fer messin with the State of Virginia!!!!
Sorry Officer, I won't do that again, at least when yer lookin!!

Wildbill.......Ornry as ever!.....:thefinger:

Wild Bill you do have a time don't you!! I am just the opposite when I get pulled in! They love to see us coming in our nice shiny truck and they pull us in. One time in California I had a level one and the women liked my logs books so well she put a smiley face on it and signed her initials and CHP. It was funny. The other day in Texas going to good old Laredo they see my coming but I had one up on them! We where due for a 60.00 DOT annual inspection that FedEx requires! Well I asked him are you going to give me a level 1 and he said yep! I said thank you so much you are going to save me some money! I don't what happened but I threw the poor guy off so bad he didn't even ask to see my log book! Looked at all the paperwork looked at a few things on the truck and said come on in and get your stinker! The guy even shook my hand and said have a great day! I know the other scowling drivers in there where sure wondering what the heck was going on!!! What a hoot. I will admit my log book was in good shape. You know this job is just to much fun!

Default Coincidence

A few years ago, the California Highway patrol in a chicken coop located somewhere near or around highway I-10 also gave me a thumbs up for my log book and I was completely flabbergasted, surprised right outta my socks!

If I remember right? the officer wrote a nice comment right in my log book!
It said.......Git well soon!
I'm not sure what he meant!

That is the only time I can say that I have recieved the green light at the chicken coops, but I think it has something to do with the way I look!

I have had DOT Officers refuse to do an inspection on my truck when I was standing around watchin them!
The last DOT Officer complained that he could'nt concentrate on the inspection because my face was throwin him off!

He finally let me go without an inspection but told me that I should git a ticket fer being so dang ugly, something about me havin a face only a mother could love and a father could die laughing at!

I gotta agree that I ain't the most edumacated or the best lookin feller around but I make up fer it in good of heart!

Wildbill....:damnmate:
