Trucker praised for dodging cars

A trucker hauling gravel overturned his rig on Highway 17 in Santa Cruz, CA, on Thursday, injuring himself and one other person.

But The Mercury News in San Jose, CA, quotes an eyewitness who praised the driver for apparently deliberately overturning his truck to avoid hitting other vehicles.

The witness said it looked like 44-year-old Davinder Randhawa lost his brakes and intentionally flipped the truck after driving down the shoulder and weaving in and out of cars.

The truck did hit one car, and its driver was taken to a hospital, along with Randhawa.

Accident investigators planned to check the truck’s brakes, The Mercury News reported.

Another example of truckers putting their lives on the line to save others!!
As I have always said, Truckers do this everyday, but rarely do we hear of it!

I totally agree...at least he was thinking of others instead of himself!
