Default No Window Unit!!

It sounds like we have the same Honda generator.I have a 3000si Quiet Series. It's a very nice generaton and very quiet. I can bearly hear it running inside my cab. I too did the ceramic heater deal. I also was looking for a cheap a/c solution and finally decided to cut a hole in the back of my FLD condo to mount a window unit I bought from Lowes. It work great for about 10 days then quit working. I pulled the unit down to find all the cooper lines had shook apart. Those unit cannot take the vibration of the road. So I bought and under the bunk unit from Frigette in Ft Worth Tx for $950. It runs off of my Honda which is mounted to my frame. The a/c works well, but the heater is a little weak. I get about 5.5 hours per gallon running the a/c, and about 4 per hour using the heat. If I had to do it all over, I would buy a Rigmaster so I wouldn't have to deal with gasoline.

Thumbs up

Being you already have a generator, here is a cheap idea for you. Go down and buy your self a window A/C unit and some plywood. Cut the plywood so it covers you sleeper door, then cut hole in plywood and shove your A/C out the sleeper door when you stop.

Yes it's a pain but it's cheap. Best if you can sleep on top bunk so you have place to store A/C unit.
