Thumbs up The Track Stop in Circleville, Ohio

If you ever get thru Circleville, Ohio on Rte 23, there is a recently opened truck stop just North of town. It's the old Jimmy D's Truck Plaza, that was shut down for about a year. It's now reopened with the name of the Track Stop, as they have a go-kart racing track next door.

The restaurant is now open, and is called Granny's Place. It's been remodeled to look like a 50's diner inside, complete with 50's-60's music playing, checkerboard dining counter, and pics of local hot rods on the walls, along with vintage record album covers, posters etc.

The owner serves excellent food, freshly prepared, good portions and decent prices. None of this fast food stuff you find at most truck stops now. It's not super fast, but it's refreshing to find good meals such as open faced roast beef, meatloaf etc. She also makes up nice big salads for us folks who need to go easy on the meatloaf! No buffet line or heat lamp dried out burgers and chicken!

Default My kind of place

Dreamer! it sounds like my kind of place!

The State of Ohio is well reconised for it's outstanding and ever growing service industry and we will find that more and more of these original theme diners will be popping up around the State. ( Good Deal )

I believe I was in a place called the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland Ohio, correct me if I am wrong becuase it was awhile ago.

The Buckeye State is surely one of the great States of a great Country
respectful of the trucking community and continually forging ahead with dignity and class!
( Go Ohio Go!! )

Best as I remember, Circleville,OH was once home of The Pumpkin Festival that was held sometime in the fall. I recall about 1976 getting backed up in festival traffic on a Friday afternoon---Met a couple of chics in the 4 wheeler in front of me and ---well---ended up staying there till Monday morning!

If I ain't done so, I apoligise for not gettin to you a little earlier.

This time of year is real busy with us haulin produce outta Texas and up into Canada, so I ain't been at the house very often this summer!

Welcome aboard and hope to see alot of you and feel free to give me a shout any time Pappy.

Oh! and by the way Pappy, I remember way back when I was just startin out in the truckin industry when I run into a bunch a good lookin women one sunday afternoon down in a little place called El Campo Texas, I ended up stayin in that little town fer almost a week, but that's back when Old Wildbill was a real ladies man.

The many years of jammin gears and ramblin up and down America's highways have takin their toll on all my good looks and now, Heck! even my old Hound dog back at the house won't give me the time of day!!
Now, if ya have any doubts about my youthful good looks, just take a look at my baby picture on this site!!
