Default The job of your life!

I drive the ice road all winter and right into the late spring if the ice is thick enough and to make things interesting, the lake water rises above the ice sometimes making it look like yer drivin right into the dog gone lake!
Hee! Hee! Hee!
Come on up this winter and I'll put you work on one of my trucks haulin drill pipe up to Northern Canada.
You will replace one of my drivers who went through the ice last winter,
God rest his soul! Never did find the poor fellow!
Pulled his truck outta the depths of Daveys Locker 300 feet below but never found him, except for one of his frozen boots!

Got the truck all dried out and cleaned up but now I need a driver to put in it!!

Get on up here and sign on the dotted line for the job of your life..........or maybe the last job you will ever have!!!!!

Default Ice Roads

Here is what the dog gone ice road looks like in early spring!!
Who wants a job drivin our Quad axel 120,000 lbs loads across the ice road this winter?
I have three vacant trucks, so who will step up to the plate?

Did I mention that it is dark 20 hours a day for months up here during the winter?
Ya do most of your drivin across the lake in the dark so I would suggest excellent eye sight for those who would attempt this kind of driving, not mentioning the blinding snow blizzards which suddenly blow across the open lake while your in the middle of nowhere!!

Don't get lost or drive off track because you might run out of fuel and freeze to death or ya might go through a large crack in the ice!

Default Hole in the ice road

It was the middle of the night and he never saw the hole in the road!
The next morning, the customer was on the phone looking for his load which never arrived!

All that was left, was the hole in the road!!

Never found the truck nor the cargo because the lake was too deep!!

Who wants a job driving truck up here on our ice roads?

Default Ice road

After you drive over those dangerous ice roads all night, then ya got a day and a half to run through the bush roads, no lights, no truck stops, no rest stops, no CB, no towns, no civilisation except for elk, bears, and other wildlife!

If yer real lucky, ya might meet ol' Stir crazy Wildbill goin the other way with a load of heavy machinery on a double drop, highballin up to Eldorado, Urainium City, NWT.

If ya see Wildbill up there in the bush and he is talkin to himself, eyes rollin back up into his head, slobbering all over himself, dont be afraid!

Ya get that way after you have been driving through the ice road and bush for months!

It's called Bushwacked!

Well I would love to see the show from the comfort of our livingroom! Just driving on ice with a solid road underneath can turn me into a white knuckle driver!

Default A barrel of Monkey's

I'm tellin ya! once you have drove the famous Ice Road up here in the cold frozen North, You will never go back to the Blacktop!
Imagine out there on the cracklin ice in the middle of nowhere, three hundred or so feet of freezing cold dark murky water below your feet driving through a whiteout where you can't even see the front hood ornament of yer truck and all ya hear is the cracking noise of the ice under you!! Hee! Hee! Hee!

I get excited just tellin you about it!!

I can't wait to get back out there in a couple of months!

Com'on up here in November and I will give you a front row seat to the best darn ride you have ever experienced in yer whole life!!

It's more fun than a barrel of Monkey's!!

Oh! and by the way! bring yer swim suit, just in case!! Hee! Hee! Hee!

Definately seems intense! Wildbill, you seriously lost a driver there? Wow. That had to be hard to deal with.
