Default communications

Long word, isn't it? But that word means so much. The companies seem to thinkg that communications only goes one way, that is from the driver to the company. They seem to believe that it isn't necessary for them to communicate with drivers. How many of you have found this to be true?

I worked for a company one time that the dispatcher was not allowed to call a shipper or a reciever.

I agree the company needs to communicate alot more with the driver's. These driver's have alot of thing's they have to worry about while out on the road.
I don't think so much they need to be babysitted either.

I worked one time for another outfit that would moniter my location 24/7 and if I was not moving they would send a message over the quailcomm to ask me why.
I threw the quail-comm out the window one time and left it there all night
