I heard on the news and read in a paper that KY is putting State Troopers in trucks to "observe" the four wheelers and write tickets for bad driving behavior.. Washington State is the first state that did this and it turned out to be successful there!! I hope more states will jump on the bandwagon and let cops ride along in the trucks.. If 4 wheelers know that there is a possibility of a cop in a truck, maybee they will drive better on our highways.. Just thought ya'll would find this interesting..

the trooper rides in the shotgun seat of the tractor-trailer and doesn't have to drive. He observes the interaction of the automobiles and other vehicles around this tractor-trailer then if he sees an action that is illegal he contacts a chase car and they stop said vehicle and ticket them. They never know when there might be a trooper observing them. Like dieselducy said it was very successful in WA and KY decided to try it out after receiving a federal grant. It works and the car drivers never know what has hit them.
