My biggest frustration while driving is getting on a 2 lane road behind someone who refuses to run the speed limit. They seem to always want to run 5 to 10 mph under the posted speed limit.

Then when you get on a four lane highway you can't drive fast enough to catch them. When you said what you did I began to think about construction zones where the speed limit will be posted 45 and if they will drive over 20 you feel like you have accomplished a lot. I cannot figure out people that drive cars there is no logic or reason behind what they do and that is my biggest frustration. They feel like they have strapped on a M1 Abrams main battle tank when they get in their little Prius, etc. and they drive like it.

Like this site says-the govt has divided and just about conquered the Trucking

Trucking is an industry. So the gov't has divided an industry. Truckdrivers are people - did the gov't conquer your spirit - the essence of who you are? What are you doing to encourage your heart and the hearts of your fellow drivers?

Default Frustrated w/ Star

I am so frustrated w/ Star. I am In training and their only giving me and my trainer 1400-1800 miles a week at 14 cents a mile so that makes for a check like $196-$252 which after taxes is only like $150-$200 a week. It is less then they lead me to believe which is 5000 miles a week which would give me like somewhere around $700 a week. well I paid 6 grand for my school and I got repay that loan plus I have a family of five to feed, and keep the bills payed up. I wish their was a way I could get more loads for us so we get more miles and I at least get to break even. Anyone with some ideas, shoot them my way thank you

As far as the part about 5000 miles a week....was that in writing or stated that was definitely what you would get, or was it just mentioned as a possibility? If it was in writing and you can prove it, as well as prove your miles through your logs or qualcomm, sounds like you have a legitimate gripe, and maybe a legal case.
