Buffalo Springfield Transport inc. a Quebec based trucking company recieved a severe warning and serious restrictive measures from the Quebec Language Police, October the 19th,2007.

Evidently, the 52 year old company owner had the nerve to slip a few english words into a Quebec Government run, job offer web site!!

The add in french advertised for truck drivers and all was well except for the
words North American Tour which happened to be in english and that is where Quebec Government officials immediatly stepped in and removed the advertisment from their web site, followed by a quick and nasty phone call to Buffalo Springfield Transport inc. Corporate headquarters, also followed by a nasty letter from french Government officials.

Buffalo Springfield Transport inc. was then forced to look for drivers out
of Province.

Sources report that Buffalo Springfield Transport inc. had been seriously warned and counciled before by Quebec representitives for flying an American flag outside their Corporate Headquarters after 911 and evidently Buffalo Springfield refused to take the Stars and Stripes down.

When Buffalo's president and CEO was questioned by news reporters in quebec about the slip of the tongue in his quest for truck drivers, he quickly apoligised to the people of Quebec for communicating in the english language and promised to never do it again, taking his quest for drivers to Ontario!

And with that,
Fourteen excellent paying jobs driving big shiny Petes for an American english speaking client went across provincial lines to open arms and welcome smiles to Ontario Canada!

I'm sure that fourteen good Quebec truck drivers could have used those jobs, especially before Christmas which is just around the corner!!

Whew! Governments and their politics!

P.S. Quebec people are good hard working folks, but unfortunatly some of their Government representitives need a little education in the working mans world!!
